Supervise and control all planning, coordination, and direction of production activities, ensuring maximum operating efficiency and product quality. Develop operations resource leaders to maintain and improve plant performance. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field supporting food manufacturing operations
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations
- Proven leadership ability
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Essential math skills
- Highly organized and systematic approach
- Ability to comprehend complex oral and written instructions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail, with accuracy and precision
- Thorough knowledge of plant operations and procedures
Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as superintendent or other mid-level management position in food manufacturing
- Knowledge of Total Process Control (TPC) or lean manufacturing practices
- Support and participate in plant safety processes
- Apply analysis and knowledge of plant processing to develop and maintain department structure
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and techniques for effective plant operations
- Prepare and control production budgets
- Communicate effectively with plant leadership and staff
- Coordinate responsibilities across departments including maintenance, sanitation, and quality control
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and new developments
- Develop methods for achieving plant production goals
- Develop department managers and staff
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews
- Work around food allergens as required
