Pay Information $1,828 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Able to perform basic patient assessments - General care and maintenance of wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, and chest tubes - Experience with dialysis and PCA pumps - Familiarity with Heparin drips - Helpful in post-op care procedures including amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, and wound vacs Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. The unit has 25 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5. Staffing includes a unit secretary every day and PRN techs. Basic equipment used includes Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lifts, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps. Documentation will be conducted using the Meditech system. Scheduling requires four weekend shifts in a four-week period. Floating to other areas may occur as needed. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift reports, safety checks every 1 to 2 hours, with a focus on listening and responsiveness. Candidates must be vaccinated for COVID-19. The unit is committed to HAI prevention, CVC and Foley monitoring, and fall prevention. Attendance must adhere to policy. The team is collaborative and dynamic, with supportive leadership to facilitate a smooth transition. All staff members are considered core team members and are held to high standards of accountability and recognition for their contributions.
