The Senior Manager Security Operations is responsible for the strategic development, oversight, and execution of security operations programs at Applied Materials' Santa Clara campus. This role blends deep security and safety expertise with strong program management capabilities to ensure the protection of personnel, intellectual property and physical assets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a proven corporate security experience and the ability to collaborate across functions and drive strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage security operations programs for Applied Materials headquarters location in Santa Clara, CA, including building strong working relationships with senior level stakeholders and key business partners. Set expectations and oversee implementation of contract security services and physical security standards. Develop and manage operational metrics, KPIs, and SLAs in collaboration with cross-functional and global teams. Utilize internal case reporting systems to optimize staffing and resource deployment. Design and implement security awareness and training programs in partnership with internal stakeholders. Manage budgets and ensure accountability for assigned projects and initiatives. Drive strategic initiatives and contribute to broader Global Security and resiliency efforts. This role must be available and willing to respond to after-hour escalations and emergencies as needed. Familiarity with cost estimation and system application budgeting. Required Experience: Minimum of 10 years in corporate security, law enforcement, or military roles. Demonstrated success in program development, strategic planning, and initiative management. Skills & Abilities: Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset. Strong organizational and decision-making skills. Excellent presentation and communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AI tools and common security applications. Capable of influencing senior leadership and working in a matrixed environment. Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Master's Degree in a related field preferred. Reporting & Collaboration: Responsible for developing and managing operational metrics and strategic vendor relationships. Regular reporting on key initiatives and strategic plans. Collaborates with a matrix team including Information Systems, Real Estate & Facilities, Finance, Procurement, Legal, HR, Site Leadership, and Public Safety Agencies. Supported by Director, Security Operations, North America and Managing Director, Global Security.
