Overview
Job Summary:
As the Senior Engineering Director, you will set and maintain reliability standards across network sites, work with managers to drive KPIs and improve asset management, and oversee capital projects for the operating unit to ensure on-time delivery within budget. Location: Hybrid out of St. Paul, MN. Responsibilities
Set the standards and expectations for reliability across network sites, including KPI targets and actions needed to achieve reliability goals. Spend substantial time on-site with reliability and maintenance managers to build a community and drive KPIs. Serve as executive sponsor for the PM pillar; apply best practices in project management and connect across sites and with the TPM Center of Excellence. Manage metrics reporting (e.g., scorecards) for the operating unit and compare across sites to identify trends and drive improvements. Correctly manage assets per standard and align with the central team on needed standards; develop an asset strategy with a 5- to 10-year horizon. Lead development of annual asset downtime plans and budget for reliability and maintenance. Engineering
Capital engineering leader for the Operating Unit (excluding Megacaps); accountable for delivering capital projects (cost, scope, schedule, escalations, etc.). Own on-time, on-budget delivery and ROI assessment of solutions. Manage capital execution beyond simple spend/portfolio management; own the capital budget and CAR process for the operating unit. Own the CRB and TBR processes for the operating unit in coordination with central guidelines; participate in every CRB and TRB. Partner with site capital managers on business cases and value engineering for all projects. Establish a career development roadmap for the operating unit engineering team and rotate engineers across sites/roles to grow network capabilities. Remove roadblocks and escalate issues to ensure timely delivery of capital projects; establish a capital scorecard and escalation process. Promote cross-functional collaboration with Regional Engineering and multiple Supply Chain functions to capture requirements and impacts of new capital investments. Direct capital responsibility for $5M - $20M per year. Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience, including manufacturing site exposure within an operations team Bachelors degree in a technical discipline Engineering responsibility across multiple sites Experience managing maintenance programs People leadership experience Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $162,000.00 - $243,000.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance. Compensation factors include experience, education, training, geography, and other plan terms. Benefits
