As a rapidly growing Y Combinator company that has achieved 15X growth post-batch, they\'re building the future of telematics data infrastructure. Their platform processes massive amounts of IoT and GPS data to power next-generation insurance and fleet management solutions. Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data platforms handling terabyte-scale IoT and time-series data Build and optimize both streaming and batch data pipelines supporting core product functionality Develop real-time data processing systems to handle rapidly growing data volumes Create robust storage solutions and data enrichment processes Implement comprehensive observability patterns for system monitoring Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the platform\'s future Write clean, maintainable code in Java and Node.js Qualifications
3+ years of experience in platform engineering or data engineering Strong track record building and optimizing large-scale data pipelines Experience with lake-house architectures (e.g., Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) Proficiency in real-time data processing technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink) Strong software development foundation with Java expertise Experience with IoT platforms or telematics systems is valuable Background in companies handling high-volume, real-time data streams Preferred Experience
Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, EventBridge) Knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js Background in insurance or logistics technology Experience with data quality and validation in high-scale environments Compensation & Benefits
