What you need to know

We are seeking an Executive Director for the North Texas Region. Reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director is the face of the Red Cross in their chapter territory and in markets without volunteer leaders. This position is responsible for blood sponsor relationship management, fundraising, and management of the local Board of Directors and United Way relationships, as applicable. The Executive Director recruits and manages a team of volunteer Community Volunteer Leaders (CVLs). Key responsibilities

Dynamic Leadership of the North Texas Region : Lead the Chapter and serve as the vital link between the American Red Cross and the communities served. Expand impact and weave the Red Cross into the fabric of the community. Building Transformative Relationships : Cultivate meaningful relationships with community leaders, businesses, philanthropists, and elected officials to advance chapter and regional goals. Championing an Influential Board of Directors : Develop and lead a diverse, influential Board of Directors to galvanize resources and support the Red Cross mission. Inspiring Strategic and Influential Leadership : Motivate a high-performing team of volunteers and staff to exceed fundraising, blood collection, and mission delivery goals. Creating a Culture of Inclusion and Belonging : Foster collaboration, inclusion, and belonging across employees and volunteers. Visionary Chapter Planning : Lead the chapter\'s annual planning to maximize community impact in partnership with the communities served. Key Regional Leadership Role : As a member of the Texas Leadership Team, influence the regional direction. This position does not include direct reports but plays a pivotal role on the regional leadership team. What you need to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

Education:

Four-year college degree (BS/BA) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance or non-profit administration or equivalent experience. Master\'s degree preferred in community organization, public or business administration, or non-profit management. Experience:

Minimum of 5 years related experience. Demonstrated ability to exercise good and timely judgment in complex situations; strong communications and influencing skills including public speaking and writing. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies and build sustaining community relationships. Proven experience in influencing others and building relationships. Management Experience:

N/A Skills & Abilities:

Flexible and able to manage change. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws. Travel:

Physical requirements vary by assignment but may include standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, manual dexterity, and keyboard use. Work is indoors with potential exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. Some travel and meetings across chapter jurisdiction, state, and Red Cross system. Staff may be on 24-hour call during major disasters. You will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan based on annual individual and organization performance. Benefits
