Position We are currently seeking an Executive Director to lead the SCSE (South Central South East) Chapter for Oklahoma. Reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director is the face of the Red Cross in their chapter territory and in markets without volunteer leaders. This position is responsible for blood sponsor relationship management, fundraising, and management of the local Board of Directors and United Way relationships, as applicable. The Executive Director recruits and manages a team of volunteer Community Volunteer Leaders (CVLs). This position is responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual attainment of revenue and blood collection goals with a portfolio balanced toward blood collection goals. NOTE:

It is an external-facing, community relations role. A successful candidate should be able to influence community/government stakeholders using persuasive techniques and work toward monthly, quarterly and annual goals. This position supports region-led mission capacity building, informs the regional leadership team of community needs and perceptions, and strengthens relationships across all elements of the community by communicating the American Red Cross programs, capabilities and opportunities for community involvement. Reporting to the Regional Chief Executive Officer, the position serves as the primary liaison to the community supported by Community Volunteer Leaders and the Chapter Board. This role works alongside volunteers and employees to deliver mission fulfillment and is a member of the Region Leadership Team. Key responsibilities

Face of the Red Cross

— maximize Red Cross presence and connectivity in the community and expand awareness of the breadth of Red Cross contributions. Develop sustained community relationships

to achieve region mission goals. Develop and manage the chapter board

to mobilize support and resources around the Red Cross mission. Develop and manage community volunteer leaders

who serve as the Face of the Red Cross, support mission capacity building, and recruit volunteers. Influence to create teamwork and inclusion

and inform the regional team, volunteers and staff of community needs and opportunities. Elected Officials Liaison Network

member supporting disaster responses; may deploy outside the chapter jurisdiction up to two weeks. What you need to succeed

Education:

Four-year college degree (BS/BA) in Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Finance or non-profit administration or equivalent experience; Master\'s degree preferred in related fields. Experience:

Minimum of 5 years related experience with strong communications, influencing, public speaking and fundraising skills; ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies and build sustainable relationships. Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency with MS Office and knowledge of employment laws at various levels. Ability to work in a flexible environment and manage change. Travel:

Travel within communities served and region; may include meetings and conferences. A valid driver\'s license and good driving record required.
