Position Overview Are you a skilled technician looking to make a real impact? We are seeking an experienced Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to support multiple customer sites in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll travel locally (with company vehicle and tools provided) to perform essential preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance across a variety of commercial properties. If you have strong multi-trade skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs according to work order requirements, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines. Plumbing: Repair and unclog toilets/urinals. Replace valve assemblies, faucet fixtures, and automatic flush sensors. Carpentry & Painting: Patch and paint drywall. Perform touch-ups and repairs on walls, floors, and doors to maintain a pristine appearance. Electrical (within state law limits): Repair/replace fixtures, wall switches, outlets, light bulbs, sockets, and ballasts. Conduct service and asset inspections as needed. Utilize technology (tablet/smartphone) to: Access and complete work orders. Submit service reports, inspection images, and timesheets. Track expenses and purchase card logs. Source necessary materials and supplies for assigned tasks. Build strong on-site relationships with clients through clear communication and reliable service. Provide estimates for larger repair projects as needed. Attend required safety trainings and weekly safety meetings. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree or certification in trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.) or Landscaping/Specialty Floor Care preferred. 2-5 years of general maintenance experience, including hands-on work in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Experience in commercial services and/or building trades highly preferred. Skills & Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Applicable certifications/licenses (where required). Ability to read and understand technical documents, safety procedures, and maintenance manuals. Basic computer proficiency: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and use of handheld devices for work orders/documentation. Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety policies. Experience with building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical preferred. Must be comfortable with daily local travel between properties.
