Responsibilities
Provide at the elbow support to your perioperative nursing colleagues, anesthesia providers and support staff as you remove technology barriers and help keep everyone focused on the care of the patient.
Collaborate with perioperative leadership to continuously improve the quality of nursing documentation across all phases of the perioperative continuum of care.
Master Epic report development, interpretation and analysis skills to advance nursing evidence-based practice and research across the Perioperative Division.
Analyze data that informs clinical and business decision-making.
Develop expertise in using Optime/Epic and provide one-to-one teaching and troubleshooting support.
Advocate for perioperative and perianesthesia nursing needs through work on the Optime Super Users Group and other committees and teams.
Develop and lead projects that are key to the success of the perioperative division.
Requirements Education and Work Experience:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
BS degree preferred
1-2 years of IT technology experience
Additional Position Requirements:
2 years of Analyst experience required
A Registered Nurse experienced in perioperative services is strongly preferred
Licensure in Maryland as an RN, or eligible for licensure in Maryland, or a compact state
Bachelor of Science in Nursing is necessary
At least two years of computer proficiency and technical aptitude in various IT platforms
Leadership experience in a specialty is strongly preferred
