Job Summary The Director, CI will be responsible for development, promotion, implementation, migration, and team building for Azure and hybrid cloud solutions. Expertise in core Azure platforms, add-on features, and hybrid cloud integration will be used to propose and lead projects through all phases of client delivery. Through consultative communication, the director will be a knowledge leader in the implementation and/or support of hybrid environments and set the technical direction for the Azure and on-premises Microsoft application platforms.

This Director position is a multi-faceted, challenging role that requires excellent client/prospect facing skills, being well-versed and adept in Cloud migration tools and technologies, excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to effectively influence clients/opportunities, develop relationships with technical and business contacts/partners and a passion for knowledge leadership with proven results in driving revenue.

Job Duties

Identifies and leads new Azure business opportunities to expand the practice and communicates such opportunities to superiors

Leads marketing and business development activities and actively promotes Cloud in the middle market, within BDO Digital, BDO USA, and globally with partner firms

Works closely with key internal Go-To-Market and other sales functions on partnerships, opportunity management, and cross sell

Works with BDO sales team to develop statements of works, proposals, and RFP responses to Azure services

Prepares formal and informal presentations for various internal / external meetings, public events, webinars, panels, and other speaking opportunities

Develops, designs, promotes, and implements Azure and hybrid cloud solutions that promote innovative results that solve business problems

Architects solutions within the Microsoft Azure Suite of products to include but not limited to, Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS and related hybrid cloud technologies

Leads integration and migration activities in Identity, not limited to Entra ID, Entra Domain Services, on-premises Active Directory and 3rd party IAM solutions

Leads assessments and designs using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Well Architected Review framework

Leads migrations of resources to Azure from on-premises, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or other Azure tenants and experience working with migration tools such as Azure Migrate

Architects and designs the full range of Azure Infrastructure products not limited to Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Arc, Azure Stack, Azure Container Instances, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Monitor

Architects and designs automation of Azure infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products not limited to Azure Resource Manager Templates, Bicep and Terraform, and managed with Azure DevOps

Develops and designs solutions with the Defender suite of products and their interaction with the larger Azure stack

Develops and designs solutions with Microsoft 365 (M365) services that compliment Azure or rely on M365 licensing such as Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel

Guides the design of complex Azure networking not limited to DNS, VNETs, User Defined Routes, Network Security Groups, SDWAN, ExpressRoute, route preferences, VPN Gateway, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Web Application Firewall, Private Endpoint, Private Link, Firewall, Network Virtual Appliances, and more.

Interprets clients' Azure business and technical needs and translates them to executable engagements, including the development of design documents, implementation plans, and final reports

Develops and presents client roadmaps, health checks, and assessments

Understands client needs to develop project plans, resource plans, establishes reporting and metrics, and provides the client with regular updates

Coordinates all aspects of a project and ensures risk is managed, mitigated, or escalated as quickly as possible

Manages project teams to ensure client projects are delivered on time and budget

Manages and validates the quality of client deliverables

Acts as a contact for client questions and inquiries

Fosters growth and skilling of an internal Cloud community, preparing knowledge sharing presentations and developing best practice frameworks

Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises the workload of engineers and architects on assigned engagements and reviews work product, as needed

Acts as mentor to project team members as appropriate

Provides work quality feedback and project collaboration feedback to project team members, as appropriate

Acts as a leader, and projects a professional, positive attitude toward client and firm personnel

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education

High School or GED Equivalent, required

Bachelor's degree, preferred

Experience

Fifteen (15) or more years of IT Infrastructure, Information Security, IT or similar professional experience, required

Six (6) or more years of technical infrastructure implementation experience with increasing responsibility within Microsoft Azure cloud solutions, required

Five (5) or more years of strong sales experience supporting and managing pipelines, required

Three (3) or more years of experience in cloud and on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, Active Directory, and networking, required

Three (3) or more years professional consulting experience, preferred

Software

All of the following, required:

Azure Resource Manager and associated components

Directory and Identity Services (Entra/Azure AD/AD Connect, AD domain migration)

Experience with migration tools such as Azure Migrate, required

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
