Ensono is seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Manager of Global Payroll to lead our payroll operations across the globe. This high-impact leadership role oversees a global team of payroll professionals across regions including the US, UK, Poland, Germany, and Brazil. You will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing for thousands of associates, drive process improvements, scale global operations, and partner with Finance, Human Resources (CPE), Legal, and external vendors. This role reports to the Global Controller. Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a dispersed payroll/accounting team of 3+ professionals across the globe, providing guidance and evaluating performance to achieve departmental and individual goals Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for all global entities, ensuring accurate and timely payments of wages to associates for all payrolls, compliance with local regulations, labor laws, accounting and tax requirements Establish and maintain standardized payroll processes and controls across all regions while balancing local requirements Manage and oversee the resolution of associate questions, ensuring prompt and accurate responses by leading the payroll team, monitoring issue resolution processes, and implementing best practices to support continuous improvement Assist with preparation and review of payroll journal entries and month end reconciliations Work closely with CPE, Finance, and Legal to support business needs and associate experience Serve as the subject matter expert and escalation point for complex payroll inquiries and global pay related issues and policies Partner with IT teams to optimize integrations between payroll systems and platforms Drive global process improvements that scale Ensono’s growth and reduce manual effort and errors Assist with global reporting, forecasting and analytics providing insight and visibility into payroll costs, and trends Assist with and present executive-level reporting on global payroll operations, risks, and strategic initiatives Proactively monitor changes in global payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor legislation across all countries of operation, ensuring timely updates to processes and systems to maintain compliance Manage the resolution of payroll-related discrepancies and errors related to items such as wages or taxes, working closely with legal to ensure accuracy and compliance based on applicable regulations Lead audits and ensure readiness for internal/external compliance reviews Qualifications

Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in a global payroll leadership role, preferably with a global and high growth environment Strong expertise in global payroll systems (Workday, ADP) Exceptional people management, cross cultural communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Skilled at balancing strategic leadership with operational excellence Preferred Qualifications Reside in the greater Chicago area, with the ability to be in office as needed. Placement within the range may vary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs may include an annual bonus plan and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
