Williston Basin School District #7, Williston, North Dakota, is currently accepting applications for the following position: Pre-K Paraprofessional (Future Coyote - Bakken) Responsibilities
Assist students by performing duties under the supervision of the teacher/principal. Discuss assigned teaching area with the classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts. Assist students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts and/or other needs. Provide general supervision during recess, noon hour/lunch, and other times as specified by the building principal. Assist certified teachers in preparation of lesson outlines and routine tasks (copying materials, bulletin boards, storage of materials, developing classroom teaching aides). Implement behavioral management techniques according to the student\'s instructional plan and teacher direction. Maintain confidentiality and a need-to-know policy with regard to student information. Provide documentation of incidents or injuries to immediate supervisor. Attend professional development as required by administration. Accompany children to classes, lunchrooms, treatment rooms, and other areas of the building. Recognize signs of health-related emergency needs and act in a timely fashion; perform CPR/first aid/use an EpiPen/AED when necessary. Support safety procedures and assist with safety drills; check in and distribute mail; dispense first aid/medications as required; assist with lice checks. Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Skills, Knowledge, Education and Experience
Technology skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge, Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; must obtain Title I Paraprofessional Certificate through ND DPI within 1 calendar year of hire; Special Education Paraprofessional Certificate within 1 year of hire if applicable. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, read, see and talk or hear; occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch; may lift/move up to 25 pounds.
