Position Overview:
The Aerospace Group Marketing Communications Manager has global responsibility for developing the segment positioning, integrated marketing strategy and associated demand generation activities for the Aerospace segment. This role works closely with commercial leaders of the segment, business units and sales, and strategy and technology leaders to design and develop integrated marcom campaigns. The role leads the development of engaging omni-channel content and campaigns to position Eaton as a thought leader and preferred aerospace supplier. You will drive measurable improvements in customer awareness, consideration and demand generation, collaborate across regions and business units to develop campaign strategies and content, and prioritize resources to support strategic initiatives. To be successful, you must be an excellent writer and storyteller with creativity across mediums. In This Function You Will: Differentiate Eaton with an integrated marketing strategy that builds engagement and trust with customers in the segment (including commercial and military aerospace OEMs, aftermarket and distribution) across relevant geographies. Develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive profitable growth in support of the Aerospace Group strategic plan. Lead development of segment and product/market focused message maps, audience engagement strategy and campaign content. Contribute to the creation of highly relevant and useful content accessible via self-serve digital channels (web, social media, earned media) and content used to support customer-to-sales engagements and tradeshows/events. Define campaign success metrics and establish review cadence with all contributing teams to ensure demand generation objectives are realized and optimize results and engagement metrics. Collaborate with sales and business units to optimize campaigns based on engagement data including competitive benchmarking. Global marketing collaboration: liaise with the enterprise global marketing communications organization and coordinate corporate resources, external vendors and brand standards to support a consistent Eaton image. Manage budget, including profit plan prioritization, balancing internal/external resources, and negotiating external contracts and service agreements. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required. Minimum 10 years of marketing communications and/or product management experience, with at least 5 years in the aerospace industry. Minimum 2 years of people management experience. This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158). Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. Position Criteria / Skills Proven experience designing and implementing strategic marketing communications campaigns with measurable impact in the aerospace industry. Strategic communications planning: ability to define objectives aligned with business goals; analyze information and conditions to set measurable objectives; adjust strategy as conditions change. Ability to synthesize complex information, understand target audiences, define and articulate messages, and create/edit copy for various vehicles; develop and deliver effective presentations.
