Overview
Infrastructure Project Manager for large information technology projects supporting our Utility Technologies Solutions team. Drives execution and delivery of IT projects for our electric utility client. Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and implementing complex large-scale projects to meet organizational goals, maintaining efficiency in planning, budget, and risk assessment. Location: New Jersey (onsite 1 to 2 days a week). Work hours: 8am to 5pm. Job type: Contract. Salary: $50.00 - $54.00 per hour. Responsibilities
Direct project team personnel, manage cost and schedule, ensure contract compliance, and serve as customer interface. Manage technical scope, cost, and schedule of assigned tasks or functions of the project. Provide strong, proactive, and assertive leadership that engages multidiscipline work teams to respond to business needs. Lead project team members such as executives, line of business subject matter experts, controllers, and schedulers through the project lifecycle. Manage project teams that include multiple vendors with onshore and offshore resources. Create project management plans, set expectations, execute governance reviews, and ensure plans are driven by organizational procedures. Coordinate with cross-functional project stakeholders to develop scope, objectives, goals, and deliverables. Ensure requirements are gathered, documented, reviewed and approved per PMO standards. Work with the scheduler to create a work breakdown structure for project deliverables. Manage project budget, maintain financial plan, track actuals vs. plan, provide monthly forecasts, and report monthly accruals. Establish and provide high-quality written and verbal project communications, including weekly status updates and dashboards. Actively monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, milestones, and overall quality of activities and deliverables. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of IT Project Manager experience. Additional years may be considered in lieu of degree. Previous infrastructure project management experience, particularly with SD WAN, Network segmentation, SASSE, etc. Experience with product selection processes (RFI, RFP, etc). In-depth Project Management experience handling project financials, schedules, scope, and testing with strong communication/presentation skills. Solid understanding of PMO processes and procedures. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet or similar tools. Ability to build and maintain relationships, partnerships, and external networks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively in a collaborative team environment. Excellent customer-facing, written and verbal communication, and decision-making skills. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities; maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines. Desired Qualifications
Previous IT project management experience for a utility. PMP or equivalent is preferred. Location
