Sr. Director, Product Development & Sourcing (Intimates) Overview
You will own the end-to-end product development process for bras, panties, shapewear and related categories—from concept through handoff to production—while leading sourcing and costing to deliver brand-right quality on time and to margin. You’ll drive the seasonal calendar, make smart construction/cost tradeoffs, and keep cross-functional partners (Design, Merch, Sourcing/Production) aligned. The ideal leader is detail-strong, adaptable, and able to prioritize across multiple sourcing calendars. Travel up to 4x/year. This position will report to
the SVP, Product Creation. What You Will Do
Own the seasonal calendar : plan, track, and deliver against all gates and milestones.
Lead fit & construction : run fit sessions, approve construction, and maintain consistent fit and grading standards across categories.
Translate design to viable product : turn concepts into commercially sound, manufacturable styles that meet brand standards and customer expectations.
Build and execute sourcing strategy : allocate vendors/factories, align capabilities to category needs, and ensure development accuracy and on-time sample/PP flow.
Drive cost/margin : lead negotiations, costing, and cost-engineering without sacrificing quality, function, or fit.
Manage technical specs : ensure complete, current tech packs (BOMs, construction, graded specs) and data integrity in PLM.
Vendor management : develop supplier relationships, track samples, provide feedback, and monitor performance on quality, lead time, and compliance.
Quality & compliance : partner with QA to meet brand standards and regulatory requirements; resolve issues in development and early production.
Cross-functional leadership : keep Design, Merch, Planning, Sourcing/Production, and Materials aligned on viability, cost, and calendar.
Materials stewardship : source and approve fabrics, trims, and components appropriate for intimate apparel.
Market awareness : bring trend and competitive insights to seasonal line strategy.
Team leadership : coach and develop product developers/coordinators; lead internal milestone presentations (line reviews, handoffs).
What You Can Bring
10+ years in product development and production, including intimates and/or women’s performance/athletic apparel.
Deep knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, and manufacturing for intimates.
Proven strength in problem solving, planning, cost analysis, and vendor negotiation.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports with a coaching mindset.
High ownership, entrepreneurial drive, and comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

*Varied for retail, fulfillment and fully remote roles. The annual base salary range for this position is from $185,000-$210,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Savage expects to pay for the role.
