Position Overview The Director of Finance & Investment is responsible to lead underwriting, modeling, portfolio valuation, and serve as the final financial checkpoint before investment decisions reach the Principal. This role is ideal for an analytical, driven leader with a vision for long-term growth as the company expands. Key Responsibilities
Lead Underwriting & Financial Modeling: Build, manage, and champion financial models across a variety of real estate asset classes—including both acquisitions and development projects. Portfolio Valuation Oversight: Manage valuation assessments for the current asset portfolio to support strategic planning and decision-making. Banking & Lending Relationship Support: Partner with financial institutions to facilitate transactions, strengthen lender ties, and support capital structure initiatives. Transaction Closing Assistance: Provide financial oversight and support throughout the closing process for acquisitions, dispositions, and capital raises. Annual Budgeting & Financial Planning: Assist in coordinating and preparing the annual budgeting process for both ongoing operations and project-level needs. Deal Team Support: Collaborate with deal teams to evaluate opportunities, assess financial viability, and support execution. Affiliate & Ancillary Investment Activities: Provide financial support for the Principal’s broader organizations like LFC, and ad hoc investment ventures. Principal Cash‑Flow Management: Regularly update and monitor the Principal’s personal cash flow across investment deals; maintain close, proactive communication on financial standings. Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years in real estate finance, investment, or related fields Education: Graduate degree preferred (e.g., MBA, Real Estate, Finance), but not required Prior experience in investment banking or similar high-stakes finance settings is a plus Demonstrated leadership skills, self‑starter attitude, tenacity, and intellectual curiosity Highly analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and not afraid to ask critical questions Motivated by growth and long-term career development—aspiring to take on a C‑suite role
