— Position Type: Full Time, Exempt. Offsite (in-office based on business needs). Must be within commutable distance to the office. Location: Los Angeles OR San Francisco OR Washington D.C. Salary Range: Los Angeles and Washington D.C.: $136,000.00 - $160,000.00 * San Francisco: $136,000.00 - $187,000.00* * The salary range is the one that Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP reasonably expects to pay for this position. Role overview: Staff Attorneys in this role provide strategic design and management for small to medium discovery and fact development projects and select portions of larger projects, including document collections, reviews and productions with an emphasis on electronically stored information. They use technological acumen and expertise in major industry tools to manage projects and lead teams, apply advanced workflow protocols for document analysis with confidentiality designations, and are proficient with analytics tools for discovery and fact analysis. They work closely with clients, firm attorneys, other Staff Attorneys, legal specialists, paralegals, litigation interns, case clerks, and vendors, interfacing with firm administrative and staff personnel. Responsibilities

All Fact Development & Review Staff Attorney functions. Select and implement strategy and design discovery solutions for firm matters. Manage projects, track and report on costs and progress. Assist case team with custodian interviews. Interact with and manage outside vendors. Advanced facility with major e-discovery technologies. Lead teams of MTO and leased reviewers as necessary. Mastery and implementation of MTO's best discovery practices. Respond to work requests from LPS management on various issues and special projects, including training and professional development, staff performance, timekeeping, and program improvements. Lead trial preparation support processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Tools Microsoft Office, Relativity, Case Dynamics, Opus2, Case Notebook Minimum Job Qualifications

J.D. degree from a major, accredited law school. Admitted to the CA bar, active and in good standing. Flexibility to work long hours and travel on short notice when needed on behalf of the Firm. Satisfy Fact Development & Review Staff Attorney job qualifications. A minimum of 5 years of complex litigation experience in a law firm, or equivalent emphasizing discovery project management. Experience in discovery project design, implementation, supervision, budgeting and quality control. Substantial experience in all aspects of litigation project management including litigation holds, early fact development and case assessment, collection, processing, culling strategies, document review, production and privilege logging. Ability to articulate case (project) goals, objectives, deliverables, costs and deadlines; identify tasks, resources and schedule need to achieve objectives. Fluency in the technical language of desktop and enterprise business information systems. Strong organizational, reasoning and research skills; creativity; strong written and verbal communication abilities; good judgment; attention to detail; and initiative. Flexibility, composure and the ability to prioritize and handle many urgent tasks and requests simultaneously with a high level of competence and accuracy; the ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances; sensitivity to ethical and confidentiality requirements; strong customer service skills. Team work, team-building and leadership experience. Ability to work with little supervision, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment in seeking work, managing workload and in formulating and recommending projects or alternative ways to complete projects that will benefit the case/client.
