Overview

In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown. To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of: Structural Erection Specialist Responsibilities

Must be able to perform basic welding tasks safely and efficiently. Has to be able to determine modification needed on the steel pieces. Use tools as grinder, drill and other to do modifications on the structural elements. Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and engineering specifications to determine work procedures. Hoist, position, and secure steel members using cranes, ropes, or welding equipment. Align structural components accurately using levels, plumb bobs, and laser instruments. Bolt or weld structural steel components in place as per approved designs. Inspect materials and connections to ensure conformance with design requirements and safety standards. Coordinate and communicate with crane operators, riggers, and site supervisors for smooth operations. Maintain and inspect tools, equipment, and PPE to ensure safe working conditions. Work at heights while adhering strictly to fall protection protocols. Perform rigging duties and assist in moving heavy materials safely and efficiently. Support general construction activities as needed, including layout and basic structural measurements. Report any hazards, near-misses, or unsafe practices to supervisors or safety officers immediately. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Qualifications / Skills and Experience

Trade certification in structural steel erection, rigging, or equivalent (preferred). High school diploma or equivalent (required). Valid working at heights and fall protection certification (required). Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with riggers, welders, crane operators, and supervisors. High accuracy in measuring, aligning, and securing structural components to meet engineering standards. Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and protocols in high-risk work environments. Working Conditions
