Our Profile In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown. To ensure the achievement of this large-scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Senior Buyer. Senior Buyer Responsibilities

Receiving, auditing and prioritizing purchase requisitions and reviews for complete specifications, appropriate budget availability and delivery deadlines. Determining priorities, schedules and initiating requests for quotations based on end user\'s needs. Researching and selecting suppliers, goods, and services according to reliability, price, specifications, delivery options, terms and conditions. Ensuring the required quantity and quality of goods and services are available for direct use by the Oko West Project. Management of supplier\'s database. Identifying opportunities for cost saving/cost avoidance. Setting up short term/long term contracts for stock items. Communicating with all internal stakeholders and department representatives regarding supply requirements. Maintaining strong vendor relationships. Invoice and discrepancy problem resolution. Resolving problems of order quantity, pricing, and availability. Order follow-up and expediting via telephone/email communication. Creation of purchase orders from approved requisitions. Communication of purchase orders to vendors. Annual purchase order clean-up where applicable (overdue reports). Assisting with standardization compliance of all policies and procedures. Ensuring audit compliance and order accuracy. Working along with finance for new vendors set up and payment terms as agreed with new vendors. Vendor evaluations. Ensuring proper procurement processes are followed in accordance with company policies/ procedures and guidelines. Qualifications/Experience

Degree in Supply Chain Management or designate Certificate in Procurement and Supply Management. 3-5 years of working experience in the field of Supply Chain Management. Additional Skills and Experience

Responsible purchasing/buyer/materials experience in a mining environment Must have highly developed working knowledge of purchasing systems and applications (SAP/Oracle or Guide- Ti) Fundamental knowledge of accounting, procurement, and basic mechanical and electrical application knowledge Good communication & interpersonal skills Good IT skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work either independently or as part of a team Time management & work prioritization skills Must possess high ethical and professional standards in all dealings Be able to organize and set priorities, handle multiple projects simultaneously and deal with distractions Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and pay close attention to details Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal in English Working Conditions

Position based at the Georgetown Office Work Schedule – 5 Days on 2 Days off Compensation Package

1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation. Competitive Salary Competitive benefits, bonus and group insurances.
