Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Elementary School is seeking a temporary long-term substitute to cover two classroom leaves of absence and an interim associate instructor between classroom assignments. Certification preferred. This is a non-benefitted position. Responsibilities
Teach fourth grade using the district curricula; develop lesson plans aligned to standards. Provide instruction to students and participate on school-level/grade-level teams. Attend parent/teacher conferences or required evening events/meetings. Implement effective teaching strategies and utilize data to inform instruction. Differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs. Qualifications
Degree and relevant CT Certification preferred. Prior teaching experience in the primary grades preferred. Strong classroom management skills required. Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for literacy and mathematics. Experience working with a diverse population; PBIS or other proactive positive approaches to discipline preferred.
