We are hiring a Senior Credit Analyst who will be responsible for managing the company’s financial risk of extending credit for specific business units and ensuring customers adhere to payment terms. Key Accountabilities
Manage credit and collection activities for a portfolio of business unit(s) including processing new credit applications by reviewing credit data and approving credit limits for new and existing customers up to $1M. Ensure compliance with payment terms, timely dispute resolution, and perform account reconciliation by reviewing aging reports weekly. Schedule frequent communication with sales and operations to coordinate plans for corrective action. Address delinquent payments by contacting customers and working with internal teams for dispute resolution. Monitor for signs of financial problems and report to immediate manager with an action plan to mitigate risk. Prepare and follow through on payment schedules for customers who require temporary extended payment plans. Validate orders placed on hold by PeopleSoft ERP at the time of order entry. Ensure credit exposure for ongoing customers is maintained within their approved limits. Build new and strengthen relationships with customers, both internal and external. Ability to review financials with assistance from immediate manager. Prepare monthly reports of past due accounts and other reports as required. Effectively negotiate in complex customer situations with minimal guidance and see results to completion. Recommend and implement credit and operational processes and procedures for continuous improvements by collaborating with various departments, including leveraging technology where appropriate. Accept responsibility for managing higher credit risks and handling complex customer relationships. Prepare credit-related training materials and conduct training sessions for various members of the organization. Promote sales growth by using discretion and professional judgment to prevent credit and collection efforts from adversely affecting customer relations. Meet or exceed individual KPI goals (e.g., DSO, % current, cash collections forecast, Bad Debt Expense, and cost savings initiatives). Fulfill employee portion of the Berlin T-Chart and periodically present monthly results to Corporate staff. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance required Minimum five to seven years of commercial credit and collection experience Minimum 2 years of entry level leadership experience Performs work under minimal supervision; handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group; may act as a lead or first-level supervisor Ability to guide, inspire, and motivate individuals or groups toward a shared goal Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans Basic accounting, financial statement, and bankruptcy knowledge Follow-up skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a high sense of urgency Interpersonal effectiveness and time management; ability to work independently or in a group with minimal supervision Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong business judgment and knowledge of credit and collection tools and techniques Ability to communicate to large audiences Ability to motivate credit team members Hybrid Schedule; Limited travel is required IL Base Pay Range $80,000 - $91,000 USD Benefits
