As the Sr. Software Engineering Director at Cardiac Ablation Solutions, your role will be at the intersection of inspiring leadership and technical innovation in the world of cardiac electrophysiology. You will lead teams responsible for developing new product features, building data and infrastructure, advancing AI capabilities, and ensuring software quality, all with the goal of shaping and delivering exceptional experiences for physicians and patients. You will be part of a cross-functional leadership team that is responsible for definition of strategic priorities, solution creation and execution to achieve organizational goals. The software organization is the engine that powers every product within Cardiac Ablation Solutions and is central to expanding and building a multi-billion-dollar business. As a leader of the software organization, you will bring your vision to the team and elevate a high-functioning organization that will help us continue to transform the cardiac ablation space. Your innate curiosity, dynamic leadership, passion for creating human-centric solutions, and problem-solving prowess will be pivotal to your success. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Strategic Leadership Define and execute a comprehensive software roadmap and strategy to meet both current and future business needs. Provide strategic recommendations to and liaise with senior leadership and executives. Ensure alignment of software initiatives with Cardiac Ablation Solutions' overall business objectives. Software Development and Quality Assurance Oversee the design, development, and quality assurance of software systems, applications, and tools, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Drive continuous improvement in technical capabilities, processes, and compliance within the software team. Team and Organizational Leadership Assess and maintain an effective organizational structure to support business and technical goals. Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract, retain, and develop top software engineering talent. Lead hiring, promotions, rewards, and organizational changes within the software group. Budget and Resource Management Manage an annual software R&D budget, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to achieve goals. Ensure projects are appropriately resourced and delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, clinical research, and marketing, to deliver integrated solutions. Serve as a key interface between the software group and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication. Must Have: Minimum Requirements Requires a Baccalaureate degree Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience OR advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience. Preferred Qualifications Background in electrophysiology, cardiac ablation, or adjacent fields within the medical device industry. Demonstrated experience leading highly technical engineers and researchers. Expertise in software development within regulated environments, including mastery of a specific technical discipline (e.g., embedded systems, product design or computational geometry). Proven experience managing an R&D budget exceeding $10 million annually. Strong understanding of cross-functional product development processes and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
