What You’ll Do Create control databases, user interfaces and setup of control systems based on project specification and/or sale proposal.

Perform field startup and system commissioning tasks.

Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.

Mentor team members in their subject matter expertise areas.

Create programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details, and project specifications or sales proposal.

Program control applications using various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC field panels and third-party devices connected through multiple communications protocols.

Install software and control programs on-site and remotely.

Perform job site system checkout, commissioning and testing of control applications to verify proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal and design documentation.

Develop system user interfaces according to project specifications or sales proposal.

Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.

Act as the technical liaison between owner/construction managers.

Deliver on-site and remote end user training for the installed system.

Perform advanced system analysis and diagnostics; determine corrective action to restore systems to proper operating condition.

Coordinate system installation with installing contractor at job site as required.

Perform final walkthrough with owner and construction manager to ensure all punch items are complete and project signoff of substantial completion.

Complete projects assigned by a Lead Application Engineer.

Submit weekly timesheet with a breakdown of hours spent on each project assignment to Business Portal by 9 am Monday and preferably by end of business Friday.

Develop and mentor the Application Engineers.

Provide informal supervision, guidance, and training to coworkers as needed; coordinate and assign tasks within a project; lead by example in line with company values.

What You’ll Need REQUIRED – Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering, or at least two years’ experience in Building Automation Controls, Building Automation Sales, and/or Account Management, Project Management.

REQUIRED - Minimum two years’ experience in Building Automation Controls, Building Automation Sales, and/or Account/Project Management.

Knowledge Proficient with understanding controls and HVAC systems and their terminology.

Thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS Word and MS Excel.

Knowledge of Google Drive and associated applications is a plus.

Proficient in programming tools and communication networks, including Niagara (Niagara 4) and related software.

Proficient in reading BAS and MEP drawings to determine compatibility with programming requirements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; accuracy and attention to detail.

Willingness to mentor and develop others.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL: Ability to stand, sit, squat, stoop and kneel; climb ladders and work in varied environments. Vision and hearing requirements to perform job duties. MENTAL: Ability to perform routine arithmetic and communicate technical information clearly in English; capable of presenting to customers and management. WORKING CONDITIONS: Primarily climate-controlled, with potential job-site hazards (ladders, dust, fumes). May involve second/third shift and weekend work; travel up to 50% annually.

Compensation & Benefits

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $100,000 annually and the maximum is $110,000 annually. Final offer depends on skills, qualifications, and experience.
