Starlink is the world’s largest satellite constellation and provides fast, reliable internet to 6M+ users worldwide. We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system – thousands of satellites, consumer receivers, and the software that brings it all together. We seek best-in-class engineers to maximize Starlink’s utility for communities and businesses around the globe. As a Software Engineer, you will work with external customers and internal partners across engineering disciplines and business operations to bring observability to a rapidly expanding network of millions of assets. The tools and applications you build will empower Starlink customers to manage deployed assets in aviation, maritime, and enterprise environments while also enhancing development across internal and external platforms. You will play a key role in developing mission-critical, high-performance web applications. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and continuously improve software solutions to support Starlink customer success and business operations Develop well-architected, responsive, and performant web applications Develop highly reliable and available software systems for Starlink Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant networks that operate at scale with minimal maintenance Craft aesthetically and functionally excellent user experiences Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews Deep dive into users’ problems to create efficient solutions Contribute to team discussions on architecture, design, and code reviews Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline; OR 5+ years of professional full-stack software experience in lieu of a degree 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with object-oriented programming Experience with relational databases Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, both independently and with a team Strong attention to detail Knowledge of HTTP requests, REST APIs, and HTTP authentication Experience with version control, CI/CD concepts Professional experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with UNIX-like operating systems and CI/CD tools Additional Requirements

Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed Must be able to travel to other SpaceX facilities as needed Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: Software Engineer, Starlink Customer Success / Level I: $122,500.00 - $145,000.00 per year Software Engineer, Starlink Customer Success / Level II: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, education, and experience. Base salary is one part of the total rewards package, which may include long-term incentives (stock or cash), bonuses, and stock purchase plans. The package also includes medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, and holidays. Washington State employees accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. Some roles may include space transport or shuttle benefits from select locations.
