Overview
Dean of Academic Affairs - Nursing, Irving, TX. Lead the BSN program based at a campus/online location, guiding the management, delivery and continuity of the academic nursing program. Shape and mentor a collaborative team including Faculty, an Academic Success team, Skills Lab and experiential learning models. Ensure curricula are current and delivered to meet the college's objectives. Support Chamberlain Care and student success to provide the best student experience while maintaining the integrity of the educational process. Responsibilities
Lead academic strategy execution in coordination with national academic support teams for student success, including first-time NCLEX pass rates, student persistence, graduation rates, curriculum delivery and faculty engagement, and student satisfaction. Oversee the BSN academic strategy and program delivery, ensuring curricular and program outcomes are evaluated, monitored, and achieved according to standards. Develop a cohesive cross-functional campus academic team with objectives, action planning and execution of the BSN academic strategy and student success model. Drive implementation of the institution's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching and service. Plan workloads for faculty to support delivery of the BSN program and academic strategy, driving quality improvement and strong outcomes. Assess and evaluate candidates responsible for delivering the BSN program, including associate deans, academic support teams, and faculty. Ensure orientation and onboarding plans with regular evaluation/feedback on teaching and learning practices. Provide oversight of associate deans to design and approve faculty schedules/workloads and ensure compliance with guidelines. Develop plans for projects and goals with extended support teams; ensure access to course assessment data in collaboration with national teams each session. Demonstrate leadership for strategy development in coordination with national academic support teams for student success and develop action plans to meet Chamberlain University standards. Collaborate on campus plans for FCAC participation, monitoring, and reporting of updates. Contribute to annual budgets for academic operations areas, including faculty positions and workload management, laboratory supplies, and cost of instruction. Serve as mentor and policy interpreter for alliance academic leaders, faculty and students; initiate leadership for new programs or expansions. Represent Chamberlain University to professional groups, organizations and the community; foster a care-based environment for faculty, staff and students. Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory regulations; act as liaison with state boards and national teams as needed; may serve as program director or administrator for the state board of nursing. Act as a designated Campus Security Authority; perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards. Qualifications
Master's Degree in nursing required; Doctorate preferred. 5+ years of full-time experience in nursing education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong interpersonal, organizational, conflict resolution and computer skills. Ability to lead, direct and advise faculty and students; excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate with all levels of management and manage sensitive issues. Capacity to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment; ability to multi-task and prioritize workload; strong time management and professionalism. Current unencumbered RN licensure and/or multi-state privilege to practice in Texas. Additional Information
The expected salary range is between $100,171.61 and $181,034.70. Actual pay will reflect experience, location, licensure, certifications, market factors and responsibilities.
