Job Summary The Director of Pricing will lead the management, development and execution of pricing strategies across the Commercial global energy marketing and trading portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing pricing models to support trading, origination, and asset optimization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in energy markets, pricing structures, quantitative modeling, and commercial strategy.
Position Overview Your responsibilities may include:
Develop and implement pricing strategies for global gas, crude, ngls, LNG, and power
Align pricing methodologies with market dynamics, regulatory changes, and risk appetite
Oversee the development and maintenance of pricing models, including forward curves, volatility surfaces, and option valuation tools
Ensure models are robust, transparent, and compliant with internal risk and audit standards
Partner with Origination, Trading, Risk, and Finance teams to support deal structuring and valuation
Provide pricing guidance for structured transactions
Lead and mentor a team of pricing analysts and quantitative modelers
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Basic/Required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or foreign equivalent
5 or more years of experience in energy trading, pricing, or analytics
5 or more years of experience with energy commodities such as electricity, natural gas, crude, or LNG
Advanced level of proficiency in pricing tools
Intermediate level of knowledge of programming languages
Intermediate level of knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
Preferred
10 or more years of experience in energy trading, pricing, or analytics
10 or more years of experience with energy commodities such as electricity, natural gas, crude, or LNG
5 or more years of experience working ETRM systems (e.g. Right Angle, TriplePoint)
Proven leadership experience and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
Intermediate level of knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
Intermediate level of knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., FERC, CFTC, ISO/RTO rules)
Demonstrated willingness and aptitude to challenge existing processes while identifying and leading the implementation of improvements
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of Global Gas, Crude, Power and LNG energy markets
Analyzes stakeholder needs, global, political, and market trends to understand how they shape the future and impact business results
Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
Drives thoughtful and pragmatic change, encourages innovative thinking and continuous improvement, and models adaptability through resourcefulness, flexibility and positivity
