Senior Civil Engineer with NYSDOT experience for a minority-owned, mid-sized architecture & engineering firm with multiple offices in New York. Focuses on institutional, government, civil, and related projects. Remote work is available for candidates not located near Buffalo, Albany, or Manhattan. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a variety of civil engineering projects from conception to completion. Prepare, review, and approve technical documents, including design plans, specifications, and feasibility studies. Utilize Civil3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD to create detailed engineering designs and plans. Collaborate with teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met. Oversee project cost estimates and schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely, cost-effective completion. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Ensure all designs and projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. New York State Professional Engineer (NYS PE) or EIT preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on design, project management, and construction oversight. Proficiency with Civil3D, MicroStation, and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods. Excellent project management and multi-project coordination skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to develop innovative solutions.
