Remote based in the United States. Preferred locations: Atlanta, Charlotte, Austin.

Position Overview JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Category Manager, JLL Marketplace in our Digital Business Line to develop and manage facilities goods supplier relationships for our JLL Marketplace business. Suppliers consist of large B2B products distributors and manufacturers that service the facilities management space. Categories of MRO spend include, but are not limited to Plumbing, HVAC, Lighting, Tools, and construction supplies. Primary areas of focus will be category strategy development, supplier relationship management, program development and enablement, and support of strategic growth within responsible categories and supplier partnerships. Developing supplier strategies, leveraging JLL scale, building new supplier relationships, identifying and bringing forward market innovations, supporting client solutioning and providing overall value to stakeholders in support of the business will be this position's mission.

This position entails working with various users and influencers across multiples levels of the organization, and the successful candidate will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. Position is virtual/home office; but Austin, Atlanta, or Charlotte area is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports development and implementation of MRO category strategy for JLL Marketplace

Develops and drives distribution & manufacturer strategies within assigned sub-categories to meet financial, strategic, and overall business objectives

Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Category Management and primary relationship manager for distributor & manufacturer partners, ensuring mutually aligned growth goals and objectives

Support contracting and negotiation strategies to optimize supply partnerships and maximize value to our clients and stakeholders

Uses data, market and industry intelligence to analyze category and partnership health and competitiveness to develop solutions that drive cost savings, process improvements, supply optimization, operational efficiencies and Responsible Procurement.

Development and implementation of category and supplier programs - inclusive of scope development, marketing strategy support and commercial enablement

Identify risk and provide proactive solutions for risk mitigation and supply contingency, aligned to overall category strategy.

Support assigned distribution partners in maintaining quality of catalog content through JLL Marketplace Product Team tools and processes.

Prepare high quality papers and presentations for use with internal and external stakeholders and/or teams, as required

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business or engineering - supply chain, sourcing and procurement, industrial sales or operations background strongly preferred.

Experience with contract management, project management, account management and supplier relationship management

Understanding of B2B product procurement systems and knowledge of emerging procurement technologies is highly desirable.

Professional yet personable demeanor with communication skills (verbal and written) to successfully communicate with and influence clients' and suppliers' representatives, internal business stakeholders and team members

Detail oriented with strong analytical skills

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Windows; MS Office, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision

Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt for urgent business needs.

Estimated total compensation

for this position: 144,000.00 - 168,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
