Role Summary The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Senior HR Business Partner who will be responsible for staffing management, employee relations, training and development, policy interpretation and compliance, benefits, compensation and labor relations for the site. This role will manage the implementation process and tracking of company-wide programs. Assist in the development of strategies and initiatives to meet business objectives. This role is full time on site.

Responsibilities

Implement initiatives in areas such as labor relations, recruiting and staffing, employee relations, engagement and retention, performance management, training, organizational effectiveness, compensation, rewards and recognition, succession planning, benefits, EEO compliance and personnel transactions.

Participate as team member or leader for site and corporate HR projects and initiatives.

Support and facilitate significant organizational change initiatives.

Monitor and report on key HR metrics for assigned facilities.

Serve as primary contact for employees and managers to address HR issues while maintaining trust and credibility.

Investigate and resolve employee conflicts and ethics hotline concerns; consult with internal/external legal counsel as applicable.

Facilitate performance management systems, including succession development and improvement plans.

Lead meetings to train or onboard employees, conduct exit interviews, and explain compensation/benefit programs.

Build productive relationships with facility leaders and lead or participate in HR training for managers and employees (Code of Conduct, Performance Management, anti-harassment, etc.).

Identify problems, interpret policies, evaluate solutions, and coach managers and employees to improve performance.

Develop understanding of the company's structure, operations, values and culture; identify and implement policy and procedural improvements aligned with laws.

Responsible for union-related functions at the facility, including labor agreement preparation, negotiations, contract interpretation and compliance, grievance handling, and arbitration preparation.

Lead and/or assist with recruiting for the facility (salaried and hourly) and onboarding.

Collaborate with site leadership to achieve business unit goals and support HR colleagues with reporting and initiatives.

Coordinate with United Steelworkers District 4 on labor issues, grievances, arbitrations and negotiations.

Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, preferably Human Resources.

7 to 10 years’ experience in development and execution of HR processes and initiatives.

2 to 4 years direct experience in Labor Relations with administration of a Union Labor Agreement.

Experience managing HR initiatives, affirmative action plans, policies and procedures.

Strong collaboration, consultative, presentation, and analytical skills.

Strong organization and communication skills (oral and written).

Proficient in Microsoft Office; Workday knowledge is preferred.

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 plus bonus. Starting pay depends on factors such as skills, experience and location.
