Ascendo is excited to present this opportunity in the wealth management industry. We are seeking a Trust Manager with a strong background in international regulations such as FATCA and CRS regimes. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule primarily remote work, balancing on-site collaboration with the convenience of remote work.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day administration for a portfolio of trusts, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
Coordinate the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements, including those for trusts and their underlying entities.
Act as the main point of contact for beneficiaries, providing trusted assistance and preparing reports and communications as needed.
Oversee and implement trust distributions, including communications to beneficiaries and payment processing.
Support and administer trust investments in accordance with relevant investment documents and procedures.
Coordinate with outside legal advisors and other service providers as necessary.
Manage the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-client (KYC) regulations.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in the offshore trust management and fiduciary industry.
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or Juris Doctor degree in a related field such as business, accounting, finance, or legal.
Strong understanding of finance, accounting, and tax laws.
Familiarity with international laws and regulations, including FATCA, CRS, AML, and KYC.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Experience with corporate structures and governance.
