Overview
Locations: Onsite in Birmingham, AL or Charlotte, NC. The SalesForce Solutions Architect works as a hands-on practitioner. You will deliver standards, patterns, and designs to First Horizon’s technology organization, and engage with the teams of developers who are implementing them. Your scope includes stability, observability, portability, SDLC management, and producing technical requirements and solution designs that align to business requirements. You will join the frontline in ensuring we can meet the bank’s business needs while producing a modern, digital banking stack. Responsibilities
Manages solution design from conception to delivery Produce architecture documentation for business applications as assigned by projects and programs Maintain First Horizon’s Systems Documentation Inventory as a member of the Enterprise Architecture COP (Center of Practice) Partner with lines of business, delivery teams, and SMEs to produce and refine technical requirements Design components and interactions within solution architectures to deliver intended business outcomes Collaborate with architects in other domains (Data, Security, Infra, Cloud, DevOps) to achieve consensus and governance across solutions Lead solution design workshops and emerging technology POC workshops Validate 3rd Party/Vendor Solutions Collaborate with the EPMO and other stakeholders to align IT strategy and planning with First Horizon’s business goals Build and maintain relationships as a technical advisor with influential decision-makers in the Technology Organization Work with development teams to ensure delivered solutions align with architectural standards, principles, and patterns Involve technical debt initiatives in the portfolio roadmap Ensure the quality and performance of Salesforce systems and applications, and ensure quality and performance of systems and applications integrated to Salesforce Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field 2+ years of Salesforce architecture experience 4+ years of Salesforce app development experience 7+ years of application development or software engineering experience Experience with technical documentation like interaction diagrams, process diagrams, network topologies and other architectural content Experience with Agile and Waterfall methods Certifications
Salesforce Certified Developer and/or Architect Skills and Competencies
Adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Design patterns and ability to translate them into business requirements and enterprise initiatives Business Process Notation and/or UML to define and refine business processes Hands-on keyboard depth in Apex and one or more other programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, Go, Node) Knowledge of application security design principles (OWASP, etc.) Experience with enterprise-level integration platforms (e.g., IBM ESB, WSO2) Working knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems Working knowledge of Networking Principles Working knowledge of modern DevOps tooling and CI/CD Understanding of cloud IaaS offerings (AWS, Azure) and related services Kubernetes & Docker About Us
