Sourcing Manager
is responsible for driving cost efficiencies, improving supplier performance, and risk mitigation plans across the supply chain. The sourcing manager will be instrumental for aligning needed sourcing strategies with business objectives while ensuring long-term value creation. This position reports to the
Mgr., Strategic Sourcing
and is part of the
Supply Chain and Ops Excellence
organization located in
Torrance, CA
and will be an on-site role. Responsibilities
Drive the development and execution of our sourcing strategy from RFI / RFP creation, leading supplier negotiations, global stakeholder management to business award and Master Agreement implementation. Serve as department lead on COST and SERVICE improvement initiatives working closely with each sourcing and purchasing associate, as well as cross-functional teams. Successfully lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives with key strategic suppliers in support of Business Transformation goals: cost savings, lead-time and minimum order quantity reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved processes, etc. Lead, manage, and influence projects to successful completion, e.g., supplier transitions, cost reduction initiatives. Identify and execute risk mitigation and security of supply strategies to prevent disruption of critical supply. Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Logistics. MBA is a plus. Minimum 5 years in Sourcing required. Personal Care, Pharmaceutical industry or Consumer Packaged Goods industry preferred. Experience with managing RFI /RFP workflow through to Supplier Business award and Contract Negotiation required. Knowledge of cost drivers and ability to apply within negotiations, development of strategies and cost improvement opportunities. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
if applicable for role Ability to travel approx. 10-20% with overnight stay. Additional Qualifications (plus)
2-3 year Sourcing experience with either Plastics and/or Contract Manufacturers preferred. Manufacturing Environments, Lean Thinking Principles, Operational Finance, Strategic Planning and/or Logistics experience a plus. 2 years of Project Management experience within a Supply Chain organization a plus. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is
$88,900 - $125,000 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
