Partner Development Executives at EAB establish relationships with leaders at education institutions, teach and explain concepts, map partner problems to EAB services and solutions, and drive growth by generating leads and managing the sales process to convert new partners. Primary Responsibilities
Prospect and build new business within an assigned territory; acquire new partners and negotiate to expand technology and research solutions Build relationships with leaders to discuss strategic and communication challenges, present best-practice solutions, and sell the vision of EAB’s capabilities for 2-year colleges Conduct live presentations, including diagnostic evaluations and technical demonstrations, to educate prospective partners on our products and services Meet annual revenue goals through pipeline management across various stages of the evaluation process Collaborate with sales, marketing and delivery teams to drive revenue within an assigned portfolio Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors Provide insights from partner visits to inform future initiatives and product development Indirectly manage a Sales Associate toward goals with formal feedback and development guidance Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university Proven track record of exceeding personal revenue targets in business development roles Experience representing complex products or services to external partners in a trusted, consultative capacity Ability to negotiate and strong persuasion skills Willingness to travel domestically at least 25-50% Valid driver’s license Professional experience in at least three of the following: Higher education sector; Delivering client presentations and facilitating discussions; Sales or Account Management; Teaching and/or explaining complex ideas; Partner management Ideal Qualifications
4-10+ years of relevant full-time professional experience Experience selling consultative, information-based, research, or technology-driven services, preferably in the higher education sector Experience in or with 2-year colleges or understanding of related processes and opportunities Desire to succeed in a sales environment and sell value proposition Engaging presentation style with ability to build rapport with executive audiences Strong listening, diagnosing, and solution-mapping skills Creativity, initiative, resilience, and adaptability Ability to indirectly manage a Sales Associate toward goals and provide feedback Openness to feedback and continuous learning Excellent writing, critical thinking, and negotiation skills; familiarity with RFP procedures Commitment to a culture of fairness, authenticity, and belonging in support of EAB’s mission and values Compensation
The compensation package includes a base salary range of $50,000 - $135,000 per year plus eligibility for uncapped variable compensation. Anticipated total earnings at target performance are $100,000 - $235,000 in a typical fiscal year, with earning potential varying by experience, skills, and location. Salaries are not typically at the top of the starting range for a given role. Benefits
