Partner Development Executive (Agency/DBAM) Partner Development Executives are responsible for establishing relationships with key decision makers within education institutions. They are persuasive leaders who teach and explain concepts, listen to partners, and map their problems to EAB’s services and solutions. As ambassadors and connectors, they are pivotal to the growth of the firm. You will generate leads and manage the sales process to convert new partners. We seek sales professionals with a proven track record of success achieving and exceeding sales goals within a team selling environment. The role focuses on helping partners strengthen enrollment and marketing outcomes by introducing EAB’s digital solutions: Digital Agency services, Digital Brand Awareness Marketing, and Chat Agent , within a portfolio that spans
AI-powered engagement ,
full-funnel digital brand marketing , and
data-driven website optimization . The official title may vary (Associate Director, Partner Development; Director, Partner Development; or Senior Director, Partner Development) to align with EAB business norms. Roles may be based in Washington, DC; Richmond, VA; or remotely within the continental United States. Remote candidates who are willing to travel are encouraged to apply. Primary Responsibilities
Prospect and build new business within an assigned territory of educational institutions; acquire new partners and negotiate to expand services for existing partners Lead consultative sales conversations that align institutional challenges with EAB’s digital enrollment solutions Conduct live presentations, including diagnostic evaluations and technical demonstrations, to understand prospective partner needs and educate stakeholders on EAB products and services Meet annual revenue goals through management of a sales pipeline at various evaluation stages Collaborate with other sales, marketing and delivery team members to drive increased revenue within an assigned portfolio Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors Provide insights from partner visits to inform future research and product development Indirectly manage team members to goals, providing feedback and guidance on development Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university Proven track record of success exceeding personal revenue targets in business development roles Experience representing complex products or services to external partners in a trusted, consultative capacity Ability to negotiate and strong persuasion skills Willingness to travel domestically at least 25-50% Valid driver’s license Professional experience in at least three of the following: Higher education sector; Delivering client presentations and facilitating discussions; Sales or Account Management; Teaching and/or breaking down complex ideas into simpler concepts; Partner management Ideal Qualifications
5-12+ years of relevant full-time professional experience Demonstrated success in consultative sales within digital marketing, enrollment, or technology solutions, preferably in higher education Ability to translate complex digital concepts into clear value for education leaders (e.g., AI search visibility, SEO/UX optimization, multi-channel campaigns) Experience engaging CMOs, enrollment leaders, and marketing strategists on topics like student demand generation, brand visibility, and website conversion Comfort navigating conversations across multiple solution areas and tailoring discussions to enrollment challenges Achievement orientation in a sales environment with strong revenue results Engaging presentation style with ability to build rapport with executive-level audiences Proven ability to listen, diagnose problems, and map solutions Creativity, initiative, resilience, and adaptability in a changing environment Ability to indirectly manage a Sales Associate toward goals and provide coaching and feedback Open to feedback and continuous learning; strong prioritization and organizational skills Excellent writing, critical thinking, and negotiation skills; familiarity with RFP processes Consultative sales experience Commitment to a fair, authentic, and belonging-focused culture aligned with EAB’s mission and values Compensation
The compensation package includes a starting base salary range of $56,000 - $170,000 per year plus eligibility for uncapped variable compensation. Expected total earnings at target levels are $106,000 - $305,000, with earnings varying by experience, skills, and location. Salaries typically are not at the top of the starting range for the role.
