Machine Learning Engineer Graduate (E-Commerce Knowledge Graph - CV/Multimodal/NLP) – 2025 Start (PhD). Join TikTok to contribute to the Knowledge Graph team focused on e-commerce products, influencers, and merchants, supporting feed ranking, recommendations, and ads through knowledge graph construction and related data operations. Responsibilities

Diversify and build knowledge graphs for real-world products to support feed ranking, recommendations, and advertising. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and the product & operations team to shape product strategies and features. Contribute to product/category/brand development within knowledge graphs and map buyer-product connections. Analyze competitive items, identify top performers, and study reasons for performance differences to inform improvements. Role Details

Key Responsibilities

Craft intricate knowledge graphs covering product/content insights, category/brand/SPU development, and related data structures. Architect knowledge maps detailing buyer and product connections. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Authorized to work in the country of employment at hire and maintain ongoing work authorization. Interest or experience in machine learning, NLP, multimodal systems, and computer vision. Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, Go, or Java. Strong teamwork and communication skills; hands-on experience or group projects in relevant technical scenarios are a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch). Coursework or projects in text classification, text matching, sequence labeling, and knowledge graphs. Knowledge of domain adaptation, text mining, and unsupervised/semi-supervised methods. Experience with large-scale text data processing and tools like Hadoop/Spark/Hive/Flink. Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $129,960 - $246,240 annually; actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location. The total package may include discretionary bonuses, stock units, and other compensation elements. Benefits vary by location and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, parental leave, disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, holidays, sick days, and paid personal time.
