Executive Director ~ Senior Living Community ~ River Oaks - RELocation AVAILABLE at MorningStar Senior Living Salary - Fulltime. Pay rate to be discussed at time of interview at the community. MorningStar Senior Living seeks an Executive Director to lead a senior living community with a culture focused on servant-leadership and high standards of care. Responsibilities
Run the operations of the business as if it were your own, with high business acumen and understanding of the overall operations of every department. Recruit, train and hire department managers; supervise daily operations of major departments; hire, discipline, and staff department teams; ensure quality performance; lead inter-departmental relationships. Maintain composure under stress; communicate with clarity; be approachable and fair-minded. Partner with department heads to ensure efficient operations and adherence to MorningStar standards. Act as a Serving Leader, sharing power, prioritizing the needs of others, and helping team members develop and perform at a high level. Lead the community’s sales culture in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director. Prepare and submit required reports; represent the community with government and private agencies. Observe activities across departments to ensure compliance with MorningStar standards; engage in regular walking rounds and face-to-face conversations with staff. Spend daily presence in Reflections (dining experiences) to ensure engagement and quality service; supervise dining operations to support resident satisfaction. Ensure compliance with company policies in resident care, HR, financial controls, PR, maintenance, and procedures; collaborate with corporate and regional teams to update policies. Accompany surveyors/consultants during inspections; review deficiencies and submit corrective plans. Evaluate performance with department heads; support annual performance reviews. Maintain confidentiality and dignity when sharing resident information with authorized agencies. Maintain daily contact with residents and families; ensure supplies and equipment are available and in working order. Participate in committees; ensure minutes and reports are recorded. Oversee community volunteer programs and outreach; ensure appropriate team involvement. Manage tools and expense systems; oversee monthly spend downs; ensure regular meetings (daily stand-ups, weekly dept. head meetings, safety meetings, inter-departmental meetings). Benefits
