Run the operations of the business as if it were your own, with high business acumen and understanding of the overall operations of every department. Recruit, train and hire department managers to supervise daily operations; hire, discipline, schedule, staff, and lead inter-departmental relationships. Maintain composure under stress; communicate with clarity while showing confidence and enthusiasm. Support department heads to ensure efficient operations and adherence to MorningStar standards. Act as a Serving Leader, sharing power, putting the needs of others first, and helping team members develop and perform at a high level. Lead the sales culture in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Director. Prepare and submit required reports; represent the community with federal, state, and local agencies as needed. Observe and walk through the community to ensure compliance with MorningStar standards; engage with employees face-to-face to understand needs and concerns. Maintain daily presence in care areas to ensure team engagement and quality dining and resident experience. Ensure compliance with company policies related to resident care, human resources, financial control, and operations; collaborate with corporate and regional teams to update policies as needed. Accompany surveyors and inspectors, review deficiencies, and submit corrective plans as required. Evaluate performance of team members with department heads and support annual performance reviews. Maintain confidentiality and communicate with residents and families appropriately. Ensure adequate supplies and equipment; manage resources to keep the community ready for residents and guests. Participate in committees and ensure minutes and reports are maintained. Oversee volunteer programs and community outreach; ensure proper execution by the relevant team members. Utilize necessary tools for expense management and monthly spend downs; lead effective meetings (daily stand-ups, weekly department head meetings, safety meetings, monthly inter-departmental meetings). Qualifications

Demonstration of Core Values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect. Experience: 3 years Executive Director or related experience in a senior living environment. Financial expense and budget management; Human Resources: staffing, development, and policy oversight; Building maintenance and presentation; Facilitating a sales culture; Leading in a compliant clinical environment; Culinary excellence; Resident and family dialogue and relationship management. Leadership: Serving Leader mindset; approachable, fair-minded, clear communication, confident and enthusiastic. Passion for working with seniors and fostering a vibrant team. Education/Credentials: College degree preferred but not required if experience meets needs; continuing education as required by the state; licensure/certification as required by the state; subject matter expertise in dementia care, senior care, safety, and leadership in a senior living community. Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn MorningStar applications.
