Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with financial industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, SOX, GDPR). Build Snowflake-optimized data models leveraging features such as virtual warehouses, clustering keys, materialized views, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks. Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to implement models supporting real-time analytics, fraud detection, risk management, and compliance reporting. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across diverse financial platforms (e.g., trading, onboarding, compliance). Integrate structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Avro, Parquet) into Snowflake for advanced reporting and analytics. Define and maintain data lineage, metadata, and documentation to support transparency, auditability, and governance. Continuously monitor and optimize query performance and storage using Snowflake s cloud-native capabilities. Partner with business analysts, risk, and compliance teams to translate reporting and regulatory requirements into scalable data solutions. Contribute to data governance initiatives, ensuring models align with enterprise data catalogs, stewardship policies, and secure access controls. Evolve data models to meet changing market conditions, product offerings, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master s preferred). 5+ years of experience in data modeling, including 2+ years with Snowflake in a production environment. Proven background in financial services with knowledge of risk, compliance, trading, or customer analytics domains. Technical Skills Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake-specific features (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel). Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERStudio, ERwin, or dbt. Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and normalization principles. Experience integrating and modeling structured/semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Avro, Parquet) in Snowflake. Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
