Overview
As the Corporate Tax Senior Associate of our Methods, Credits & Incentives practice, you’ll design, implement, and execute accounting method studies and fixed asset reviews for clients with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with MCI leadership and use specialized tax resources to conduct Tax Accounting Method, Tax Inventory, Fixed Asset, R&D, and Meals and Entertainment consulting services. From day one, you’ll be empowered to lead, develop and mentor assigned engagement teams, and may participate in related marketing and sales aspects of engagements to ensure client projects are conducted in accordance with firm standards, completed on time, and within budget, helping you achieve more, confidently. Responsibilities
Assist in conducting client engagement fieldwork such as visiting the client location, investigating relevant facts, analyzing applicable accounting information, completing the appropriate tax computations, and preparing written memorandums that summarize engagement team findings. Participate in numerous client projects and tasks simultaneously. Engage in professional development and training sessions on a regular basis. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Master’s or Ph.D. in Accounting or Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Operations Research preferred. CPA or a legal background (J.D., LLM) is preferred. Two years of relevant work experience in a Tax environment; experience in a Big 4 firm, a comparable size public accounting firm or consulting firm is preferred. An intermediate understanding of tax return mechanics is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage time, manage multiple projects, and meet client deadlines. Solid abilities to analyze and summarize data with accuracy. Experience working as a productive member of a team. Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites as required. Compensation
The base salary range for this position in the District of Columbia is between $86,400 to $129,600. About Us
