Full-time Boston Web Group is seeking a leader to collaborate as the
Website Production Manager
and oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of (mostly) WordPress-based website projects. 50% of the projects require some marketing skills. This role is perfect for someone creative, able to multi-task, with a strong understanding of WordPress platforms, design workflows, and digital marketing. As the leader, you will ensure a high-quality product is completed
on-time , orchestrate
team coordination , and champion
process improvement . This role is for someone that has decent working skills doing actual production work. Youre not alone, but youre skilled enough to produce and launch a website solo. Youll be leading a team, assisting, creating websites, making themes or choosing designs, graphics, content, and completing a wide range of semi-predictable website projects for a wide range of various clients across the USA. Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout project lifecycles.
Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
Coordinate between designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure projects stay on track.
Provide regular status updates and documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
Anticipate risks or blockers and resolve them quickly to maintain momentum.
Production Process & Quality Standardize and improve production workflows to increase efficiency and quality.
Create and refine
SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
for website builds.
Ensure adherence to best practices for SEO, site speed, accessibility, and responsive design.
Oversee QA testing to ensure bug-free, reliable launches.
Recommend tools and systems to improve project tracking and communication.
Required Skills
Strong experience managing website or digital projects, ideally in an agency setting.
Deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem (themes, plugins, hosting, SEO basics).
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, ClickUp, or similar).
Strong client communication and expectation management skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and hold stakeholders accountable to deadlines.
Bonus Skills
Experience with
WooCommerce/eCommerce projects .
Background in UI/UX design or creative direction.
Working understanding of PHP, Javascript, MySQL, and other coding langauges.
Familiarity with production automation tools and workflow optimization.
Ability to mentor
or train team members in production standards.
