Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure proactive preventive maintenance programs meet brand standards for systems such as laundry equipment, HVAC, ice machines, fire safety systems, and plumbing Follow safe working practices and conditions Inspect guest rooms after preventive maintenance and address issues with maintenance staff Maintain current inventory of supplies Manage a work order system, prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner, and monitor deficiencies Ensure pool and spa maintenance complies with brand standards and health regulations Maintain hotel grounds, curb appeal, and building exteriors Assist other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving concerns Coordinate and supervise contracted capital projects Educate hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions Hire, coach, and discipline direct reports Participate in regular property walk-throughs and address deficiencies promptly Function as part of the emergency organization team and be an expert in life safety Be aware of fire, safety, and protection equipment and hazards Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives Education and Experience
Minimum of high school education; post-high school education preferred Minimum of five (5) years in a maintenance leadership position, preferably in large full-service hotels Two (2) years of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines preferred Certified pool operator certification preferred Renovation and rebrand experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic math skills Effective verbal and written communication Strong leadership skills Ability to exceed guest and team expectations Excellent time management Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel; Outlook a plus) Detail-oriented and committed to excellence Equal Opportunity Employer:
