MEP Engineering Project Manager (Mechanical Project Manager) – Hybrid. Immediate need. Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 per year. About the role
Mechanical Project Manager (MEP - Design/Build Engineering Consulting) responsible for designing and managing mechanical building systems, preparing detailed engineering calculations and drawings for mechanical systems from schematics through construction on various building types.Experience with an engineering consulting firm and proficiency in Mechanical/HVAC Systems Design using AutoCAD or Revit is preferred. Projects include upgrades for commercial and light industrial facilities, high-rises, mid-rises, mixed-use buildings, higher education institutions, hotels, life sciences, and institutional buildings. Responsibilities
Design and manage mechanical (HVAC) building systems from concept through construction. Prepare engineering design calculations, layouts, and detailed narratives and reports. Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines. Develop and maintain project objectives, goals, and documentation policies; engage with clients directly. Support business development by assisting with RFP processes and interview processes. Foster relationships with clients and participate in community/industry organizations to build the brand. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university. Professional Engineer (PE) license desired. 10+ years of experience with an MEP or engineering consulting firm designing HVAC building systems on complex projects. Proficiency in Revit OR AutoCAD. Proven project experience in Commercial, Public Sector, Educational (K-12 / Higher Education), Justice, and/or Civic projects. Ability to develop HVAC designs from concept through construction completion. Experience coordinating HVAC design with architecture, structure, and other disciplines. Experience with direct client contact and active participation in client relationships. Experience supporting bid/proposal processes and project interviews. Participation in community or industry organizations to build the brand. Desired, Not Required
Experience and interest in Sustainable Building Design. LEED AP or LEED GA with experience in LEED or other green rating systems. Understanding of architectural design processes and collaboration with architects. Benefits
