Overview
Infosys is seeking a
Data Scientist / Gen AI Lead Consultant
with Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning (ML), AI and Python experience. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in end-to-end implementation of Gen AI and Agentic AI solutions, fine-tuning large language models, and deploying models to production. The role requires working in alignment with data strategy at various clients, using multiple technologies and platforms.
Responsibilities The job entails hands-on data science and Gen AI work, including: - End-to-end Gen AI and Agentic AI solution development - Fine-tuning large language models and ML models - Identifying the right problem and designing optimum solutions - Deploying models to production and supporting production environments - Working with data strategy across client projects and multiple technologies
Qualifications Required Data Scientist Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent; three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education may be considered
At least 8 years of Information Technology experience
At least 4 years of hands-on GenAI / Agentic AI and data science with machine learning
Strong proficiency in Python programming
Experience deploying Gen AI applications with agent frameworks (e.g., Langgraph, Autogen, Crew AI)
Experience deploying Gen AI stack/services on AWS, GCP, Azure, IBM Watson
Experience with Generative AI and multiple Large Language Models; implementing Advanced RAG-based solutions
Experience processing/ingesting unstructured data (PDFs, HTML, images, audio-to-text, etc.)
Experience with data gathering, data quality, system architecture, and coding best practices
Hands-on experience with Vector Databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Azure AI Search)
Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
Travel may be required; close coordination with offshore teams
Locations: Bridgewater, NJ / Sunnyvale, CA / Austin, TX / Raleigh, NC / Richardson, TX / Tempe, AZ / Phoenix, AZ / Charlotte, NC / Houston, TX / Alpharetta, GA or relocation willingness
Preferred Data Scientist Qualifications:
4 years of hands-on experience with more than one programming language (Python, R, Scala, Java, SQL)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform)
Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB, DynamoDB)
Deep learning experience with CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs and current research trends
Experience with Python AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain)
Strong understanding and experience of LLM fine-tuning and local deployment of open-source models
Proficiency in building RESTful APIs (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
Experience with model evaluation tools (DeepEval, FMeval, RAGAS, Bedrock model evaluation)
Experience with perception (computer vision) and time series data analysis
Big data experience preferred (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Scala)
Data visualization tools (Tableau) and SQL/Hive query skills
Good applied statistics skills (distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.)
Compensation and Location The estimated annual compensation range for Sunnyvale, CA is
$94,000
to
$164,500 .
