Overview

Machine Learning Signal Processing Engineer — Leidos. Two openings in Ann Arbor, Michigan or Beavercreek, Ohio. Work on machine learning and signal processing problems toward state-of-the-art research and development, with a focus on remote sensing (SAR/RF, acoustic, EO/IR, and LIDAR). You will interact with customers and have opportunities to lead technical projects and pursue growth in new technologies. This role requires about three quarters of duties to be performed onsite due to the sensitive nature of the work, with flexible in-office hours and the possibility of remote work for some tasks. Responsibilities

Work with teams on the research, design, and development of sensor exploitation systems including signal processing, automatic target recognition, and signature modeling. Collaborate with customers to address mission requirements by researching and developing new capabilities and improving existing systems. Rapidly and iteratively implement new algorithms to address challenges. Develop Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) algorithms using Python, MATLAB, C++, and other languages for real world applications. Leverage state-of-the-art AI/ML tools and methods to improve ATR system performance. Provide technical leadership for tasks and programs. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics. Strong programming ability in Python and/or C/C++ for Linux environments. Knowledge of code configuration control. Familiarity with common machine and deep learning packages such as Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, etc. Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to coworkers, teammates, and customers. Active SECRET clearance or higher, with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. US Citizenship Required. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Automatic Target Recognition algorithm development. Experience with monostatic or bi-static SAR and/or SAL data and sensor systems. Experience developing computer vision applications. Experience with multi-sensor data fusion.
