As an analyst, you work with Engineers, Product Managers, Sales Associates and Marketing teams to translate findings into actionable solutions. You manage multiple projects, developing analyses, models and methods to support and verify the impact of recommendations. You may mentor team members and contribute to cross-project collaboration.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders in cross-projects to identify and clarify business or product questions; translate questions into tractable analyses, evaluation metrics, or mathematical models.
Design and evaluate models to express and solve defined problems with limited precedent, using custom data infrastructure or existing data models.
Gather information about goals, priorities, and data infrastructure to inform analyses.
Gather, extract, and compile data across sources using tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python); format, restructure, or validate data to ensure quality and readiness for analysis.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
3 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or performing statistical analysis, or a PhD degree.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
