The Executive Director for the El Paso County Communications Department provides strategic leadership and direction to the Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator, and County leadership while creating an innovative public relations and communications strategy. The Executive Director will fine tune and manage the County’s public relations efforts, including overseeing content development and press releases while supervising the Communications Department team consisting of nine employees. An important aspect of this position will be to assist with aligning the County’s values and culture to the strategic plan and ensure timely messaging for employees, County Board members, community stakeholders, and residents.
