Project Engineer
to join their EPC team in California. The successful candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and a proven track record in the design and execution of large-scale energy storage projects. Key Responsibilities
Lead conceptual design for utility-scale BESS projects, including equipment selection, site layout, and interconnection planning. Coordinate with development, procurement, and construction teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and schedules. Review detailed electrical engineering design packages, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards. Liaise with third-party engineers, contractors, and local authorities to progress permitting and technical approvals. Conduct site visits for constructability assessments, stakeholder engagement, and technical evaluations. Support construction activities by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and overseeing QA/QC processes. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain cost, quality, and schedule targets. Requirements
Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3+ years experience in battery energy storage or related renewable energy projects. Familiarity with high-voltage systems, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection requirements. Strong project coordination and communication skills. Ability to travel to project sites across California as required. Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) licence in California. Experience with CAISO interconnection processes and California regulatory compliance. Job Details
