Bus Technician Position
Schetky Bus and Van Sales Company Schetky Bus and Van Sales is a fourth-generation family owned full service School and Commercial Bus Dealership that has been in business since 1942. Our headquarters are located in Portland, Oregon, with branches in Lakewood, Washington, Pasco, Washington, and Tolleson, Arizona. We are a school bus dealer for Thomas Built Buses (A Daimler Company) and Collins Bus Corporation in the states of Oregon and Washington. Our commercial bus manufacturers include Forest River, Sunset, Driverge, and Hometown to name a few. We sell commercial buses throughout the United States. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled, reliable Automotive/Bus Technician who is career minded and growth motivated, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles, performing routine maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, warranty repairs, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will use advanced diagnostic equipment and your mechanical expertise to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, inspections, and fluid checks. Repair and replace worn or damaged parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors. Follow repair procedures and guidelines, including manufacturer and warranty specifications. Communicate with service advisors/customer advocate to keep customers informed of vehicle issues and repair plans. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Complete detailed and accurate notes on all work performed. Stay up to date with the latest automotive/bus technology.
