We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Site Deployment Specialist to oversee the roll-out of electronic health record (EHR) software solutions at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). You will use a deep understanding of EHR systems, healthcare IT, project management, and software deployment processes. This role requires an execution-minded driver with excellent communication skills, a discipline to manage to a schedule, an ability to identify and mitigate risk, and a passion for improving healthcare through technology for our country's veterans.
This is a field-facing support role that assists with critical path success by helping to identify and mitigate site-level issues. You will have project management responsibilities, including developing work plans and monitoring activities to ensure success. You will help facilitate the assessment, alignment, and optimization of clinical or functional areas to meet EHRM-IO pre-deployment requirements. You will be a key point of contact for coordinating functional workflow configuration projects and efforts, aligning clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders across the organization.
You'll apply a broad understanding of computer and information science principles to healthcare advancement, including clinical informatics. You'll have the opportunity to apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex problems with innovative solutions. Additionally, you may mentor or supervise employees. This position is a hybrid role with Booz Allen, requiring on-site work at Booz Allen or client facilities 20-50% of the time, as needed.

You Have:
- Knowledge of end-to-end deployment processes for VA clients in the EHR Modernization (EHRM) program
- Ability to travel domestically up to 75% of the time
- Ability to evaluate and improve deployment processes
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (technical, functional, clinical, and programmatic) for successful EHR implementations
- Ability to create and maintain detailed project plans and timelines
- Ability to identify project risks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination as required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, and 5+ years of experience in health IT, or 15+ years of health IT experience in lieu of a degree

Compensation:
Our benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement plans, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care. Employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for full benefits; others may receive select offerings. The projected salary range is $86,800 to $198,000 annually.
