Job Summary

The Department of Student Media in the College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) is currently seeking The Roars student music programming manager to join their team of professionals. Duties to include the following:

  • Hires all new DJs for their genre
  • Responsible for recruiting music from production studios
  • Updating music in rotation shows each week
  • Adding music to manage each week, to ensure fresh music for listeners
  • Works with promotions director to promote music from their genre
  • Updates rotation, MegaSeg, and playlists in accordance to their genre
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in radio, audio equipment and programs
  • Tech-savvy
  • Management and team leadership skills

Student Disclosure
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.
